Team Meeting Friday

There is a team meeting Friday after school in Coach Kunde's room.

Timpanogos 1 Snow Canyon 0








In a hard fought State Semi-Final Game Snow Canyon loses 1 to 0. The only goal came off a free kick. The girls all played well and showed a lot of heart and fight through the whole game. The coaches would like to thank the parents, siblings, friends and fans who have come out and supported the girls through this season. You all have been wonderful. We especially would like to thank the girls for their hard work and dedication this year. The love and support they showed one another was a big part of our success and is a legacy that our seniors have left for future teams to build on. You are all the best.

Snow Canyon 1 Sky View 0






In a hard fought game Snow Canyon comes out on top as they beat Sky View 1 to 0 in the state quarter finals. A total team effort from the field players to the bench helped push the Warriors through to victory. The only goal of the game was scored by Callie Stewart with an assist from Amber Graf. The warriors will play Timpanogos at Juan Diego High School on Tuesday at 11:00AM

Snow Canyon 3 Payson 0

In their first state game the Warriors play smothering defense and score three goals to take down their first opponent in state play. Goals were scored by Meghan McKenna, Jacie Shotwell and Arriana Weide. Arianna also had 2 assists. Next up for the Warriors Sky View.

Senior Night



We love our Seniors and as they play their last region game at home against Dixie and come away with a win we honor them and their parents for all their hard work and dedication over the years. Here they are being honored at halftime of the football game.

Snow Canyon beats Dixie on a Mitzi Gates goal off of a Sarah Henderson assist. The win gives Snow Canyon the outright Region Title. the Warrior's first state game will be Tuesday 10/12/2010 at 4:00 PM against Payson. It was also senior night. The senior girls and their parents were honored at halftime of the football game

Dixie Game Postponed

Game to be rescheduled because of weather. Two Snow Canyon students, Dane Zdunich and Alex Lambson, were struck by lightning. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families.

Snow Canyon 3 Cedar 2

Snow Canyon traveled to Cedar and scored two first half goals, one from Callie Stewart and the second by Sarah Henderson and went into the half up 2 to 0. Early in the second half Amber Graff drilled the ball into the net to give the Warriors a 3 to 0 lead. The Warriors then held on for a 3 to 2 victory. Assists on the Warriors goals came from Arianna Weide and Amber Graff. Next up for SC Desert Hills at Desert Hills on Thursday.
JV Tied 1 to 1.

Snow Canyon 4 Canyon View 1

Another good performance by the defense and the offense knocks in 4 goals as the Warriors come away with a 4 to 1 victory in region play. Sarah Henderson started off the scoring with a 32 yard rocket to the back of the net. Arianna Weide had two goals one off a Mitzi Gates assist and Callie Stewart put one in in the second half. Canyon Views only goal came off a free kick. The Warriors will take on Hurricane at Hurricane on Thursday at 7:30.

JV tied 0 to 0.

Snow Canyon 1 Pine View 0

Snow Canyon started off slow for the first twenty minutes but then turned on the afterburners as the controlled play for the last 60 minutes and beat Pine View 1 to 0. Another stellar performance by the defense consisting of Jadyn Losee, Tori Bergen, Autumn Ship Whitney Warburton and Brook Merrill. GK Megan Clark made several huge saves to seal the deal. The Midfield, Megan McKenna, Sarah Henderson, Amber Graff, Arianna Weide and Tina Stewart, also stepped things up. From back to front a total team performance. The only goal came off an Arianna Weide assist to Sarah Henderson who headed it in.

Snow Canyon 3 Dixie 2

The Warriors let up a goal in the first few minutes of the game and the last few minutes of the game but were able to put three in the net in the last 20 minutes of the first half to beat the flyers 3 to 2. Jaycie Shotwell scored first for the Warriors. Next up was Callie Stewart. Arianna Weide passed the ball to Mitzi Gates who assisted Callie on the goal. Callie then scored a second time as she headed in a cross from Arianna. SC will have a bye on Tuesday and will face Pine View next Thursday at 7:30 at Pine View. The Warriors improve to 5 - 1 in region and 8 - 2 overall.
JV also won! First Lauren Mitchell assisted Kaylee Brooks who scored on a breakaway. Kaylee scored a second goal as Mitzi Gates headed a ball through that put in. Maddie Bergen scored off a perfect free kick from about 25 yards out.

Snow Canyon 4 Desert Hills 0




In another stellar defensive performance by the Snow Canyon defense, Jadyn Losee, Autumn Shipp, Tori Bergen, Whitney Warburton and Brook Merrill, Snow Canyon shut down Desert Hills offense allowing just four shots(2 on goal). Snow Canyon's offense came alive scoring 4 goals and being very close on several occasions including a Mitzi Gates header that all thought was destined for the back of the net but was saved by a Desert Hills defender who came out of nowhere. Goal scorers where Jaycie Shotwell(2 goals) and Meghan McKenna(2 goals). Each was assisted on one of their goals by Arianna Weide who finished with two assists. Next up Dixie at Dixie on Thursday at 7:30.
JV won 4 to 2. Kaylee Brooks scored 2 and assisted on one. Tirsa Snyder scored one and had an assist and Maddy Berger scored one. Also assisting on goals were Lauren Smith and Grace Walton on a ball pushed up by Janel Prince.

Snow Canyon 1 Cedar 0 OT



Another outstanding game for Snow Canyon's defense consisting of Jadyn Losee, Whitney Warburton, Tori Bergen and Autumn Shipp as they allow no shots on goal. The midfield and forwards also played well connecting passes and having 21 shots on goal. An exciting moment in regulation occurred when Arianna Weide took the ball down the line, cut inside, beat her defender, darted past other defenders and took a shot on goal that banged off the near post. In overtime with a little over a minute left, Tori Bergen took a long shot, the goalkeeper bobbled it, Meghan McKenna poked it into the goal area and Mitzi Gates and Callie Stewart crashed hard and Callie drilled it into the back of the net. Next up Desert Hills on Tuesday.
The JV won 1 to 0 on a Kaylee Brooks goal.

Hurricane 1 Snow Canyon 0 OT





Snow Canyon lost to Hurricane in overtime 1 - 0 causing a three way tie for first amongst the 4A schools. Snow Canyon had their chances out shooting the Tigers 18 to 3. In the second half and OT they out shot them 12 to 1. Unfortunately their only shot was a golden goal. The defense of Jadyn Losee, Autumn Shipp, Tori Bergen and Whitney Warburton had another solid performance. SC looks to bounce back against Cedar on Thursday at SC

JV beat Hurricane 5 to 0. Kaylee Brooks led the way with two goals( Assisted by Tirsa Snyder and Grace Walton) and two assists. Mckenzie Barber(Assist Brooks), Sydney Layton(Assist Janel Prince), Lauren Smith(Assist Brooks) had one goal each.

Team Visits Cecilee




During the game against Canyon View, and after scoring two goals in that game, Cecilee Horlacher had an ACL injury. It is unknown how long she will need to rehab. In a show of support for Cec the team met in Coach Kundes room, made a card, signed it and hand delivered it to Cecilee at her home. Later a group went to the football game at SCHS where they watched from the track.

The Warriors started off a little sloppy but pulled things together and played well in the second half of the game as they defeat Canyon View 3 to 0. Cecilee Horlacher scored twice and Jaycie Shotwell scored off an Arianna Weide assist.
JV Won 3 to 1.

Snow Canyon 3 Pine View 2 2OT


In their first region game Snow Canyon had an overtime victory over Pine View. Pine View scored first early in the game off a corner kick. Near the end of the half Callie Stewart put one in the side netting. Early in the second half Cecilee Horlacher scored for the Warriors giving them a 2 to 1 lead. Later in the half Pine View scored tying the game. The Warriors had a great opportunity to win with time running out in regulation but kicked the ball over the goal. In the second overtime period Arianna Weide found Callie Stewart who scored the golden goal with 7 minutes remaining. Next up for the Warriors Canyon View @ Canyon View at 4PM.

Snow Cayon 2 Waterford 1

Snow Canyon beat Waterford 2 to 1 in their last preseason game. Mitzi Gates scored the first as the Warriors went into halftime tied 1 to 1. In the second half with 16 minutes remaining in the game Arianna Weide assisted a Jaycie Shotwell goal. The Warriors will begin region play against Pine View on Tuesday at 7:30 at home.
JV beat Waterford 8 - 0 on 6 second half goals.

Snow Canyon 2 Pleasant Grove 1








The Warriors defeated the Vickings 2 to 1 in preseason play. Pleasant Grove scored first with 5 minutes left to take a 1 to nothing lead into the half. The game remained that way until there was less than 5 minutes remaining when Meghan Mckenna found Callie Stewart with a great pass and Callie was off to the races. Going one on one with the keeper she calmly put the ball in the right hand corner of the net. A few minutes later Jaycie Shotwell put one in but a questionable offside call by the official took the goal away. With time running out Cecilee Horlacher was fouled and with time running out put the free kick into the back of the net as Sarah "Hende" Henderson was high in the air blocking the keepers view. Tomorrow the Warriors will take on Lehi at 11:00AM

Lunch at Rodizio Brazilian Steakhouse








The girls and coaches got together for a team lunch at Rodizio Grill. The food was excellent and all had a great time. You can also see a post on the Rodizio Grill facebook page. Now we are getting ready for our game against Pleasant Grove.

Snow Canyon 3 Delta 0






The Lady Warriors defeat Delta 3 - 0 and out shoot the rabbits 38 to 1. Callie Stewart scored first off an assist by Jaycie Shotwell. Then in the second half Meghan Mckenna scored off a Brooke Merrill assist. The final goal was scored by Callie, her second of the game. She was assisted by Arianna Weide. The Warriors will play Pleasant Grove on Friday.
JV also won 3 - 0. Goal scorers were Lauren Mitchell, Kaylee Brooks and Grace Walton.
