Snow Canyon Wins in a Shootout

Hurricane scored first to take a 1 to 0 lead in the first half. Lilly Wittwer earned a PK when she was fouled in the box. Lauren Scott calmly put the ball in the goal. After regulation and two overtimes the game went to a shootout. In the shootout Breanna Graves, Lauren Scott, Lilly Wittwer and Taylan Whitehead scored. Ruth Sumner had 2 saves insuring the victory.

 Goals were scored by Ashlee Nyberg, Breanna Graves, Ashlee Harris and Chloe Vowell. Assists by Lilly Wittwer and Tessa Thornton. Ruth Sumner was in the goal for the shutout.

 Jadyn Reber scored off a Taylan Whitehead assist.

Snow Canyon 2 Pine View 1

 The Warriors pick up a 2 to 1 overtime win against Pine View. Tessa Thornton scored the equalizer in the second half. Lilly Wittwer scored the golden goal in the first OT when the goal keeper couldn't hold on to a hard shot by Livy Kunde and Lilly was there to put it in the net.  

Snow Canyon 3 Dixie 0

 The Warriors win their second region game defeating Dixie 3 to 0. Lilly Wittwer scored the first goal and was assisted by Breanna Graves. Tessa Thornton scored the second goal and was assisted by Sara Hart. The third goal was scored by Taylan Whitehead and assisted by Alivia Kunde. The defense with Ruth Sumner in the goal earned the shutout.

Snow Canyon 2 Crimson Cliffs 1

 The Warriors pick up their first region win defeating Crimson Cliffs 2 to 1. Breanna Graves and Tessa Thornton had goals and Lilly Wittwer had an assist. Next up for the Warriors will be Dixie at Snow Canyon on Thursday 9/3.
