End of Season Banquet

The end of season banquet for the 2018 4A State Champion Snow Canyon Warriors will be Thursday at 6:30PM in the library.

Real Salt Lake Game 10/18/2018

4A SOCCER STATE CHAMPIONS!

The Warriors defeated the Orem Tigers 1 to 0 in the 4A State Championship game. With Megan Rodgers in the goal the Warrior defense of Bubba Lindsey, Amanda Bradshaw, Sekada Burchinal, Jaicleyn Losee, Grace Fisher and Daisy Hurt held the Tigers scoreless to set up the overtime victory. Five minutes into the first overtime Rachel Durante sped past the defender down the sideline and crossed the ball perfectly in front of the goal where it was promptly placed in the back of the net by Heidi Smith. 

The Warriors would like to thank all the fans, family, friends and former players who came to support the girls.

In the state semifinals Snow Canyon fights back from a 1 to deficit to win 2 to 1 and earn a spot in the state championship game. Ashley Brindley scored off a Heidi Smith assist with 56 seconds left in the first half to tie the game 1 to 1 going into the half. In the second half with a little over 8 minutes remaining in the game, Tylei Jensen scored off a Kenzee Brough corner kick for the winning goal. Snow Canyon will take on Orem in the state final game.

Snow Canyon 2 Ogden 0

The Warriors defeat Ogden is the state quarter finals 2 to 0. The defense of Bubba Lindsey, Sekada Burchinal, Amanda Bradshaw, Jaicleyn Losee, Grace Fisher and Daisy Hurt with Megan Rogers in the goal held Ogden scoreless. In the second half Heidi Smith broke through the defense and was about to score when she was taken down from behind. Adi Melendez put in the PK and the Warriors took a 1 to 0 lead. Then Tylei Jensen made a beautiful cross that Heidi Smith headed in. It was another team effort from front to back as the Warriors advance to the state semifinals.

Snow Canyon 2 Ridgeline 1

Snow Canyon wins its first state game defeating Ridgeline 2 to 1. Heidi Smith scored both goals for the Warriors and was assisted by Sekada Burchinal and Tylei Jensen. The defense consisting of Samantha "Bubba" Lindsey, Sekada Burchinal, Jaicleyn Losee, Amanda Bradshaw, Daisy Hurt and Grace Fisher limited Ridgeline to just 7 shots. Megan Rodgers was in the goal and had 5 saves. It was a total team effort from front to back. Good job Warriors.

The Warriors will face their next opponent, Ogden,  Saturday at 3:00pm.

Goals were scored by Heidi Smith, Tylei Jensen, Ashley Brindley and Adi Melendez scored. Goals were assisted by Heidi Smith, Ashley Brindley and Rachel Bunting.

Ashley Brindley had 2 goals and Kenzee Brough, Rachel Bunting and Tylei Jensen each had a goal in the Warriors 6 to 0 win over Cedar. One of the goals was an own goal.

Adi Melendez had two goals and Ashley Brindley, Lauren Scott and Heidi Smith each had a goal as the Warriors defeat the Thunder 5 to 2 to clinch the region title.

Snow Canyon 3 Hurricane 1

Asley Brindley,Tylei Jensen and Kenzee Brough each scored a goal as the Warriors defeat the Tigers 3 to 1. Heidi Smith had 2 assists.

The team packed textbooks to be shipped to Africa.

Adi Melendez had an assist off a corner kick that Heidi Smith put in the goal. The Warrior defense limited Dixie's shots as the Warriors earn the shutout. Megan Rodgers was in the goal for the shutout.

Snow Canyon defeats Desert Hills 3 to 1 in region play. Heidi Smith scored the first goal with an assist from Adi Melendez. Next Sekada Burchinal assisted a goal by Ashley Brindley. Heidi scored the third goal with an assist from Tylei Jensen.

The Warriors fought back from being down 2 to 0 with 4:12 left in the game to tie the game and send it into OT. With 4:12 left in regulation Ashley Brindley scored with an assist from Adi Melendez. Then with 57.7 seconds left Heidi Smith scored with an assist from Jaicleyn Losee. Megan Rodgers had 7 saves for the Warriors. 

Service

Girls and coaches went to The Retreat to visit the residents. It was a wonderful time for the team and the residents.

The Warriors finished the game from last Tuesday with an 8 to 0 victory. Goals were scored by tylei Jensen, Heidi Smith (2), Rachel Durante, Adi Melendez (2), Ashley Brindley and Sekada Burchinal. Assists by Brinley Sullivan, Rachel Durante, Lauren Scott, Ashley Brindley and Mackenzee Brough.
The defense completed the shutout.

Canyon View Game Postponed

The Canyon View game was postponed due to lightning with 20:40 remaining in the first half and Snow Canyon leading 2 to 0. The game will be resumed Monday 8/27 at 4:00PM at Snow Canyon High School.
